NEPSE Index Surpassed 2,100 points, Marking a Significant Milestone

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed at 2,111.24 points on Tuesday, pushing it above the 2,100-point barrier. From Sunday, the index had gained 58.58 points. The market began the day on the upswing, but by 12:44 pm it had temporarily dropped to 2,064 points. However, it quickly recovered and closed the day higher.

Significant growth was also seen in the turnover, which increased from Rs 3.19 billion on Sunday to Rs 4.55 billion on Tuesday. Of the listed companies, prices increased in 220 cases, decreased in 22 cases, and stayed the same in 4 cases. Indicators showed increase in every sector, too.

The industry experiencing the greatest growth was life insurance, up 5.44%, and microfinance, up 5.05%.
