Sindhupalchok, April 19 | Sindhupalchok Wedding Bus Mishap
In a tragic incident involving a heavily crowded bus carrying wedding guests, three individuals lost their lives, while 52 others sustained injuries. The accident took place on Friday morning in Tripurasundari Rural Municipality-5 of Sindhupalchok district.
According to the Sindhupalchok District Police Office, the bus, traveling from Bhimeshwar Municipality-1 of Dolakha to Piskar in Sindhupalchok, veered off the road and plunged approximately 100 meters.
The deceased have been identified as Man Bahadur Thami and Shiva Shrestha from Bhimeshwar Municipality-1, while the identity of one victim remains unknown, as confirmed by Mayor Ishwar Narayan Manandhar of Bhimeshwar Municipality.
Deputy Superintendent Niranjan Bhattarai mentioned that the injured individuals are currently being transported to Sindhu Sadabahar Hospital in Khadichaur Bazar for medical treatment.
